About - CV
I am born in Denmark 1967. I lived in Amsterdam, Holland from 1992 to 2019.
I recently moved back to Denmark and settled at a farm near Ebeltoft. I studied dance and improvisation at
the SNDO Amsterdam. Studied classical singing and music by coloratura soprano Marianne Blok for more than a decade.
I have been working in multimedia projects of all sorts and sizes since about 30 years. In Amsterdam I have for the most part lived in large
cultural centers such as ADM 1997-2019, which was brutally evicted January 7 2019. I am mostly autodidact in
mathematics and programming, but with respect to audio programming I have for sure taken benefit of living in
the city of STEIM. My study of mathematics is ongoing, I have especially become fond of areas within algebra, algebraic geometry and
number theory. I am an active performer of improvised music, mostly as vocalist and with an electronic setup,
but now and then including movement / physical theater.
The recent years the creation of computer music has become very important for me. I have had many presentations
of works at international conferences. And the composition of spatial audio works has been a natural extension of
my mathematical interests. The computer is for me first of all a fantastic calculator, which is available for us in this time
and I find it very exiting to apply new mathematics in sound. In many of my works I explore the relationship between
consciousness and computation. For me consciousness is all pervasive and universal. I do in no way comply to the materialistic
and dangerous artificial intelligence nonsense which is often focused on these days.
Algorithmic composition is a creative and human craft.
Besides this I have worked part time / on and off / by ecological fruit and vegetable farmer Jaap v/d Boon in Beemster
north of Amsterdam. I also have some years of experience with professional vegan (organic!) cooking.
I studied the Reconnective Healing with Eric Pearl in 2018. This has been a great addition to my life and activities.
